April:

Cultural Sensibilities IV, Littman Gallery, Portland State University

This is an amazing group show featuring artists from Korea (who will be in Portland for the opening!) and artists from the Oregon Women’s Caucus for Art. The opening event will be on Friday, April 3rd, from 5 to 7 pm at PSU’s Littman Gallery, in Smith Center, on the 2nd floor. There will also be a Seminar by the Korean artists on Saturday April 1st at PSU’s art building, at 2000 SW 5th Ave, room 209. This is free and you should come! It is going to be awesome! I have 2 large paintings at the Village Ballroom, 700 NE Dekum, 97211, Portland, OR... the closing party for this fabulous group show is on April 30th, in the evening. http://www.villageballroom.com


May:

I will have a show of paintings at the fabulous Utopia Cafe, 3308 SE Belmont St., Portland, 97214. This restaurant seriously serves the best breakfast in town. And they are wonderful in every other way.


June:

Blackfish Gallery’s #2 Fishbowl Window!

I am honored to have an installation of sculpture backed by a largescale painting in the Blackfish Galleries window for the month. It’s going to be awesome! http://www.blackfish.com


I will have 2 small drawings/paintings up at Rochester Contemporary Art Center, 137 East Avenue, Rochester, New York 14604, in the 6x6x2009 show, to benefit the art center. http://www.rochestercontemporary.org


June, July & August:

Gallery 920, 920 NW 17th Ave, Portland, OR... Kelly Neidig and I will have a super awesome duo show which will include collaborative installations! Please come to our fabulous closing party in August.


October 10th &11th, 17th & 18th

Portland Open Studios! (I’ll be open both weekends!)

I have paintings available at Belle Sirota, a wonderful boutique shop featuring local art and craft (there is so much here, you have to see the website to get a good sense of the shop: http://www.bellesirota.com). The shop is at 1409 Jantzen Beach Center, Portland, 97217. Inside the mall.

I hope to do workshops here as well. Please contact the shop or me for more information.


I have 10 small paintings up at the Rug Bug, a sustainable floor covering shop at 12350 SE Division St. This family owned (for 80 years!) business is awesome and  focuses on flooring that is healthy for us and the earth. I’ve got a couple of drawings at O’Malley’s Bar and Saloon, in Portland on SE Foster and 64th, in the Jukebox Showcase! Check it out.

Reclaimed Plastic Bag Sculptures:


Please see above for details about the Blackfish Gallery window installation I will do in June involving sculpture and painting!


I’ve shown the sculptures so far at Launch Pad Gallery, Show and Tell Gallery, Hopscotch Gallery, Olympic Mills Gallery, BEARecycling and Milepost 5 in Portland, and BRING Gallery, Eugene, Oregon. Stay tuned for updates about these!



Workshops and Classes:


On June 24th, from 7 to 9pm, I will be teaching a workshop about making plastic bags into yarn. This workshop is presented by the Oregon Women’s Caucus for Art. Please contact me for more details.


This fall I will be teaching a workshop about plastic bag yarn and crochet at the Mission Mill Museum in Salem, OR. A textiles museum! I will have more details about this soon. The museum: http://www.missionmill.org


I will also be doing a workshop about the same topic at Washington State University’s Vancouver Campus in the fall. Stay tuned for the schedule of this too... I think the schedule comes out in August.



MURALS!!!


I will be painting some murals with superstar awesome fantastic artist Emily Lux. We are currently seeking grants for a couple of projects in Portland. If you are interested in more details about these, or to commission a mural in your home or business, please contact me.
